    SVSI is a humanitarian organization in Chitwan Nepal. Its our mission to support communities in education, health, equality, livelihood and environment preservation together with community.

     

    We also aided those affected by the 2015 earthquake and disaster floods. In addition, we run programs focused on health and social care, disaster management, community services, and youth development.

    One Step in the Development of Siddhi by preserving Nature

    The One step in the development of Siddhi by preserving Nature was lunched in Siddhi VDC of Chitwan district. Geographically it is in the middle hills of Nepal. People living in this area are Chepangs. Chepangs are the most marginalized ethnic group of people who used to live in cave and do hunting for food. Chepang are among the most susceptible and marginalized groups, with limited economic, social, and political opportunities. The Chepang communities in Siddhi living in deplorable conditions, with inadequate sanitation and infrastructure. These communities are torment by social disgrace, low illiteracy, child marriage, alcoholism, gambling and poverty. Their complexities stem from firmly rooted social issues that have persisted for generations.

    Every Venture Begins with a Dream

    The 'Every venture begins with a Dream' project area is located in the north part of the Chitwan district in Nepal. It covers wards 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the former VDC Kaule, now coinciding with ward no. 1 of the municipality of Ichchhakamana. This area is considered to be vulnerable in terms of livelihood, health, and access. The educational infrastructure consists of eight small primary schools and one institution for nursery, primary, and secondary education, with a total of 366 children attending at present. Malnutrition is the main health problem in the area, and poverty is prevalent, with 62 percent of households having an income of less than € 1,00 per day. Agricultural and animal husbandry products are mostly consumed by the family, and social problems like alcoholism, child marriages, bigamy, and gambling are present.

    Sapanaka Gharharu (Dream Homes)

    Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) is an organization that provides affordable and sustainable homes for homeless individuals or those living in inadequate housing. SVSI works with local government and direct stakeholders to construct houses designed to meet the specific needs of homeless populations. By providing homes for the homeless, SVSI aims to promote stability, security, and improved living conditions for vulnerable communities, such as the Musahar, Dalit, and Chepang communities in Nepal. The houses have had a positive impact on the overall health, education, economic stability, and sense of community of the people living there. SVSI plans to construct at least 15 houses per year in Chitwan and across Nepal in the future.

    Building Schools

    Sapana Village Social Impact has been working for the quality education since its start. We have supported with quantitative as well as qualitative inputs for the betterment of the school and quality education for children. This project is mainly about infrastructure development of schools in Ichchhakamana, Chitwan. Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality is located in the mid-hills of Mahabharat range and has potential for tourism due to its natural resources such as cable cars, rafting, historic caves, highest peak, longest waterfall, and a temple. However, the physical development index is weak, and education, health, hygiene, and sanitation conditions are poor, with the majority of Chepang, Gurung, and Magar ethnic groups residing in the area.

    Sapana Design

    Sapana Design is a Women Skill Development Project located in R.N.P-8, Baghmara next to Sapana Village Lodge. It was initiated with a dream to empower women socially & financially and promote extincting Tharu Culture. The women are trained to make handmade textile products that represent hundreds of stories and reflect Tharu tradition. Women who are single mothers, from marginalized community and pro-poor family, are our major target. 25 women who worked for us come from a poor background, without any education.  We collaborate with the local government for the selection of the beneficiaries that means a letter of recommendation is compulsory mentioning if she fits in our criteria of selection.
