To help farmers improve their lives, a special training session on goat rearing was held this week in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-1. The event was organized by SVSI as part of the CCDP Project. Its main goal was to teach local farmers the best methods for raising goats healthy and successfully. An expert, veterinary technical assistant of IRM-1; Mr. Deepak Puri, led the training. He shared his knowledge on many important topics. Farmers learned how to properly care for their animals, the best ways for breeding, and how to stop diseases before they start. The training also focused on sustainable practices, which means raising goats in a way that is good for the environment and can continue long into the future.
Raising goats is an important source of income for many families in the area. This program aims to boost the local economy by giving farmers the skills they need to manage their livestock better. When farmers can raise healthier goats and prevent losses from sickness, they can earn more money from their work. This extra income helps not just individual families, but the entire community. The new knowledge gained from this training is expected to lead to more successful goat farms. This initiative shows how sharing simple, effective skills can create big opportunities for growth and prosperity in rural areas.
