Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) has launched a specialized “3-day Pre-primary Level Comprehensive Teacher Training” program, focusing on a curriculum-based integrated teaching methodology. The initiative is designed to strengthen the quality of early childhood education in community schools. The training was officially inaugurated by Mr. Sajana Mahato, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 7, Ratnanagar Municipality. In his address as the Chief Guest, Ward Chairperson Mahato emphasized the critical importance of such initiatives, stating, “Providing curriculum-based training to community school teachers is a fundamental step towards improving the overall quality and effectiveness of education.”
The program aims to equip pre-primary and Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers from community schools in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality and Ratnanagar Municipality with advanced skills. Mr. Dhruba Giri, Chairperson of SVSI, explained that the training is organized specifically “to make the teaching-learning process in community schools more dynamic, engaging, and effective for young children.” The training is being facilitated by Mrs. Meenakshi Dahal, President of the Sikhai Foundation, and features twenty participating teachers. The session is designed to provide hands-on experience with integrated teaching methods that align directly with curricular goals.
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Mrs. Barsha Puri, a board member of SVSI and chairperson of Sapana School. The event was conducted by Mr. Sujan Basnet, Director of SVSI, and was attended by several distinguished guests, including Ward Member Mr. Suryabahadur Tamang, and Mr. Suryaprasad Lamichhane from Shree Secondary School, Chitrasari and board member of Sapana School.
