From November 19 to 24, the remote community of Ichchhakamana, Kalika and Ratnanagar witnessed a significant humanitarian effort as Sapana Village Social Impact successfully concluded a comprehensive six-day pediatric health camp, supplemented by a two-day camp for adults. The initiative provided essential medical services to a total of 1,192 individuals.
The camp, held in partnership with Bharatpur Hospital and with technical support from Medical Checks for Children, Netherlands, focused primarily on addressing the healthcare needs of children. A remarkable 1,017 children received free medical check-ups and consultations during the event. Beyond the immediate medical examinations, the camp’s impact extended to ensuring long-term care for critical cases. Medical Professionals identified several patients requiring advanced medical attention and have committed to facilitating and covering the costs of their referrals and follow-up treatments at Bharatpur Hospital in the coming days.
The initiative was holistic in its approach to community wellbeing. In addition to the medical services, the camp distributed warm clothes to help families who lack access to quality winter wearables. Furthermore, educational sessions were conducted to raise awareness on crucial health topics, including the importance of nutritious food, safe drinking water habits, and proper dental care practices. SVSI extend its sincere gratitude to Bharatpur Hospital, Medical Checks for Children, the dedicated doctors and volunteers, Sapana Village Lodge, and all participants and well-wishers who contributed to the success of this camp.
