Kalika-10, Chitwan, Nepal – Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI), under the WASH Initiative of the Comprehensive Community Development Programme (CCDP), successfully conducted a Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) awareness session at Shree Kalika Aadharbhut Vidyalaya, Kalika-10, engaging 52 students from Grades 4 and 5.
The session focused on educating young students about menstruation, puberty, personal hygiene and the importance of maintaining good menstrual health. Through interactive discussions and awareness activities, students gained a better understanding of menstruation as a natural biological process.
The programme also addressed common myths, misconceptions, stigma and discrimination surrounding menstruation. By encouraging open conversations and active participation, the session aimed to build confidence among students and promote a culture of understanding, respect and inclusion.
Menstrual health education is an essential part of creating safe and supportive learning environments. By providing age-appropriate knowledge at an early stage, SVSI hopes to empower students to make informed decisions, support one another and contribute to breaking the silence surrounding menstrual health.
Through its WASH Initiative, Sapana Village Social Impact continues to promote health, hygiene, education and dignity within local communities.
Knowledge builds confidence. Awareness breaks stigma. Together, we create a healthier and more inclusive future. 💙
