Chepang Hill, Chitwan, Nepal – Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) continues its commitment to strengthening rural communities by supporting local farmers in Chepang Hill through an initiative designed to improve agricultural opportunities, increase household income and promote sustainable livelihoods.
As part of this initiative, local farmers are receiving potato seeds at 50% below the market price, helping reduce their initial investment and making farming more accessible to vulnerable families.
However, our support does not stop with the distribution of seeds. Recognising that finding a reliable market can be a major challenge for small-scale farmers, Sapana Village Social Impact has also committed to purchasing potatoes from farmers who struggle to find buyers for their harvest.
This approach provides farmers with greater confidence to invest their time and effort in agriculture, reduces the risk of unsold produce and helps ensure that their hard work translates into income for their families.
Through this initiative, we aim to encourage local food production, strengthen household food security, create income-generating opportunities and build greater economic resilience within the Chepang community.
Supporting farmers. Creating livelihoods. Growing together.
At Sapana Village Social Impact, we believe that sustainable development begins when communities have the resources, opportunities and confidence to build their own futures. Because when communities grow, everyone grows.
