Interaction Program with Schools in Ichchhakamana Led Commitment to Healthier Meals for Students

In a positive step for student health, all seven public schools in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality have agreed to provide improved and nutritious lunch menus for their students. This change comes after a special meeting between the school principals and food experts. Pauline and Priscilla, nutrition specialists from the Green Food Foundation in the Netherlands, shared their knowledge. They gave important suggestions on how to make the school meals healthier and more balanced. Taking this expert advice, SVSI together with school leaders have now redesigned the lunch menus. The new menus will ensure students get the right nutrients to help them grow, stay healthy, and focus better in class.

To make this promise official, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed and exchanged between the schools and the local government. This agreement means all seven schools are committed to serving the new, improved lunches to their students. This initiative is a major effort by Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality to invest in the well-being and future of its children by providing them with better food at school.
