Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) has successfully concluded its "Basic Beauty Parlour Training" program for eight women from the Kalika and Ichhakamana Rural Municipalities. This transformative initiative, conducted under the Vocational Training for Youth component of the Comprehensive Community Development Project (CCDP), is specifically designed to provide a direct pathway to economic self-reliance for women in rural communities. To ensure all participants could attend without barriers, SVSI provided comprehensive accommodation and food facilities for the entire duration of the training. The intensive curriculum was meticulously crafted to equip the women with professional, in-demand skills in beauty and hair care. The program aims to shift participants away from low-income, unstable work by providing the expertise needed to launch their own small businesses or become self-employed beauticians in the growing local service industry.
The outcomes of the program are already being hailed as transformative. The graduates are now fully prepared to establish local beauty enterprises, securing a sustainable and stable source of income for themselves and their families. Beyond the tangible financial gains, the training has led to a marked increase in the participants' personal confidence and social standing within their communities.SVSI extends its heartfelt gratitude to the FEMI Foundation for their crucial support, which was instrumental in making this project a success. Their partnership enabled individuals from rural areas to access valuable vocational training aligned with their interests, paving the way for a more prosperous future.
