Chepang Hill, Chitwan, Nepal – Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) is pleased to announce the official inauguration of its Essential Supplies Shop in Chepang Hill, marking another important milestone in its ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable Chepang communities.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted by local community members, who are also the direct beneficiaries of the initiative, together with Mr. Dhruba Giri, Chairperson of Sapana Village Social Impact, and Mr. Sujan Banset, Programme Director.
Although the shop has been operational for the past few months, today's official inauguration marks an important step towards strengthening access to affordable essential goods for families in the area.
Following a preliminary needs assessment conducted by Sapana Village and recommendations from the local government, the shop is currently supporting 75 households by providing essential food items and hygiene supplies at a 50% subsidised rate.
The initiative aims to address food shortages, ease the financial burden on vulnerable families, improve access to basic daily necessities, and promote better hygiene and healthier living conditions.
By making essential supplies more affordable and accessible, Sapana Village Social Impact is working to protect families from hunger and hardship while strengthening community well-being.
At Sapana Village Social Impact, we believe that access to food, hygiene and basic necessities should never be a privilege. It is a fundamental need that every family deserves.
This initiative reflects our continued commitment to creating meaningful, community-led solutions and ensuring that no family is left behind.
