Sapana Village Social Impact has distributed a total of 14.5 quintals of ginger in Kalika Wards 10 and 11, and Icchakamana Wards 1 and 2, with a special focus on supporting the Chepang community through sustainable ginger cultivation.
This initiative was launched to promote income generation and improve livelihoods for local farmers. Ginger was distributed based on each farmer’s needs, ensuring practical support for cultivation. To encourage ownership and responsibility, farmers contributed 50% of the total cost.
In addition, Sapana Village has committed to purchasing all the ginger produced by farmers that they wish to sell, providing them with a secure and reliable market. This approach motivates farmers to actively cultivate ginger, care for their crops, and build a more sustainable source of income for the future.
