Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) has inaugurated two major drinking water projects in Parang, Kalika Municipality–10, and Byartesh, Ichhakamana Rural Municipality–1, Chitwan District. The systems were formally launched through community ceremonies and implemented with strong community engagement to address long-standing water scarcity.
Previously, many households—especially women and children—spent significant time collecting water from distant and unreliable sources. The newly installed piped water systems now provide a safe, reliable, and convenient water supply, reducing daily hardship and improving quality of life.
Designed as long-term solutions, the projects are managed by community-led committees responsible for operation and maintenance, ensuring local ownership and sustainability. The initiatives align with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and reflect SVSI’s commitment to delivering practical, life-improving social infrastructure in Nepal.
