SVSI Launches Reforestation Campaign on World Environment Day 2025

On June 5, World Environment Day 2025, with the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution," SVSI started a reforestation campaign in Rain Communities. The first phase of the campaign began in Ghurkesh Rain Community, where 10 different types of fodder and fruit plants were given to local residents. The initiative supports the main goal of the Rain Communities project: "Conservation of Ecosystem and its Restoration." By planting trees, SVSI aims to restore natural habitats, improve soil health, and provide sustainable resources for the community.

Plastic pollution harms the environment, and reforestation is a key step in fighting its effects. Trees help clean the air, prevent soil erosion, and support wildlife. SVSI’s campaign encourages communities to protect nature while also benefiting from fruit and fodder plants. The Ghurkesh Rain Community is the first to receive these plants, but the campaign will expand to other areas. SVSI hopes this effort will inspire more people to join in protecting the environment. World Environment Day reminds us that small actions can make a big difference. SVSI’s reforestation campaign is a positive example of how communities can work together for a greener future.
