SVSI Started Hospitality-Focused Training To Train and Empower Youths

Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) has started a special 30-day Hospitality and Waiter Training course. The program is designed to help young people from rural areas in Kalika municipality, Chitwan. The objective of the training is to empower them by teaching skills needed for jobs in sustainable tourism. To make the training practical and effective, the classes are being taught by the Senior Food and Beverage Manager; Sandhya Shrestha; from the well-known Sapana Village Lodge. The manager spends an hour each day teaching the students.

The students don't just learn in a classroom. They also get real-life experience by practicing their new skills at the Sapana Village Lodge. This "learning by doing" approach helps them become confident and ready for work. Sapana Village is known for its work in sustainable tourism and often creates programs to support the local community. This new 30-day course is another step towards their mission of creating opportunities for local youth and strengthening the area’s tourism industry.
