This is the inspiring story of Mr. Ishwor Chepang, a resident of Icchakamana-2, Tobang, who found his purpose not in a new destination, but by returning to his roots with a renewed vision. Ishwor's professional journey began in the kitchen of the renowned Sapana Village Lodge, where he gained valuable initial exposure to the hospitality industry. Despite this experience, he felt a pull to return to his village to explore other work. Yet, a sense of purpose remained elusive. It was only upon introspection that he identified his true calling: the art of baking.
With this clear goal, Ishwor returned to Sapana Village, the very place his journey had started. Recognizing his genuine aspiration, the management at Sapana Village stepped in to support his dream, sponsoring his enrollment in a professional baking training program in Pokhara. Equipped with new skills and confidence, Ishwor returned to Sapana Village and immediately began applying his craft. Moving beyond conventional white bread, his creations are a testament to health and nutrition. He bakes using a diverse blend of ingredients including flour, whole wheat, bran, millet, and buckwheat, ensuring that every loaf is as wholesome as it is delicious. In a heartwarming twist, the bread baked by Ishwor is now being sent to the Chepang Hills, providing healthy and nourishing meals to children in the region. His personal dream has thus blossomed into a community initiative, feeding the futures of the next generation. "I dream of opening my own bakery and expanding production on a larger scale," Ishwor shared, looking toward the future. Ishwor Chepang’s story is a powerful reminder that our initial path may simply be a preparation for our true destiny. With continued encouragement and support, his dream of a thriving local bakery is well on its way to becoming a lasting success, one nourishing loaf at a time.
