Dil Bahadur Chepang Harvests 250 kg of Beans with Vegetable Seeds Support

Meet Dil Bahadur Chepang, a determined farmer from Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-1, has achieved an inspiring milestone, harvesting 250 kg of beans in his first season. His success highlights how sustainable farming support can transform lives and strengthen rural communities. With help from Sapana Village Social Impact under the Comprehensive Community Development Program (CCDP), Dil Bahadur received high-quality vegetable seeds through a seed distribution initiative. This program aims to strengthen food security, increase farmers' income, and promote climate resilient agriculture. Before joining the program, Dil Bahadur practiced subsistence farming, growing just enough to feed his family. But with training and resources from SVSI, he expanded his farm, learned better techniques, and turned his small plot into a profitable business. His journey from subsistence farming to becoming a successful commercial farmer shows how strategic interventions can empower rural communities.
