Women’s Capacity Building Programme Launched in Kalika Municipality to Promote Gender Equality

Sapana Village Social Impact has initiated a series of capacity-building training sessions targeting mothers’ groups in Ward No. 10 and 11 of Kalika Municipality. The programme is designed to strengthen awareness, confidence, and active participation of women in both family and community decision-making processes through structured dialogue on gender equality and women’s rights.

The first session was successfully conducted in Deujar with the participation of 16 women from the local community. The training focused on core topics including gender equality, social inclusion, women’s rights, and the importance of equitable participation in household and community leadership roles.

The session encouraged open and interactive discussions, allowing participants to share personal experiences, challenges, and perspectives related to their roles within society. This participatory approach helped create a safe space for reflection and learning, while also strengthening peer support among attendees.

Facilitators emphasized that equal participation of women in decision-making is essential for building balanced and resilient communities. The discussions also highlighted dignity, respect, and equal rights as foundational elements for sustainable social development.

Through this ongoing initiative, Sapana Village Social Impact continues to invest in community-based empowerment programmes that promote gender equality and strengthen the voice and agency of women at the grassroots level.
